2. Athleticism/Defense

Oubre is a natural athlete that moves fluidly around the court. His long limbs make him a surprisingly quick sprinter while his leaping ability makes him an ariel threat at all times. He isn’t afraid of rising above the rim to cram a dunk over someone’s head.

The Warriors haven’t had a pure athlete like Oubre in some time. The excitement level he can bring to this team alongside Andrew Wiggins and James Wiseman is something to consider. Even if the Dubs aren’t favorites to win the title – they will still be one of the most fun teams to watch in the NBA.

Still, Oubre’s athleticism can be used for more than just highlights. Under proper guidance, he can become a lethal defender. His long arms give him the potential to be an impactful off-ball defender. At his best, Oubre can defend multiple positions and bring versatility to their defense.

Last season, Oubre averaged 6.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals. If he can match that production, or even increase it, the Warriors will be in a great place next year.
