Size

James Wiseman is one of the biggest players in the draft.

He stands a massive 7-foot-1 and has an insane 7-foot-6 wingspan. If that’s the player that’s protecting the rim for your favorite team, you likely won’t see your opponent throwing down too many dunks.

Wiseman should be an impactful force in the paint given his size, and it’s something the Warriors desperately needed. For starters, they really just needed a traditional center.

Both Marquese Chriss and Kevon Looney have spent the bulk of their career at the power forward position. They have just one player that is 6-foot-10 and that’s Alen Smailagić, the team’s second-round draft pick from a year ago that played little this past season.

Wiseman’s size will be paramount for this team keeping up with the Lakers, a franchise with multiple big-time shot players.

He’ll have to learn how to play without fouling and how to properly operate in the pick-and-roll at the NBA level, but he should be just fine picking up on those aspects of the game while in Golden State.
