3 trades the Golden State Warriors should make in wake of Thompson’s injury
The Golden State Warriors’ Klay Thompson, will be out the entire 2020-2021 season after tearing his ACL. Here’s what the Dubs must do next.
There’s no denying the Golden State Warriors fanbase was absolutely crushed when they heard the news that Klay Thompson was going to miss the entire 2020-2021 season. After rehabbing back to 100 percent, Thompson tore his Achilles.
The Warriors are going to miss his on-court presence as Thompson was a five-time All-Star and has averaged over 20 points per game over the last half a decade. He was an ultimate professional that served as the quintessential running mate with two-time MVP Stephen Curry.
His injury will change their entire outlook on the season, but it could also force them to be more aggressive. The Warriors have used their trade exception on Kelly Oubre Jr., trading their 2021 pick for the small forward from Phoenix.

That said, let’s dive into three players the Warriors could trade for that would help make them contenders in the wake of Thompson’s season-ending injury.
