J.J. Redick

Here’s a more niche addition for Golden State.

You don’t necessarily replicate Thompson’s high-level defense, but you add shooting. Redick is one of the best shooters in the league, and with the addition of Wiseman, shooting is exactly what you need if you’re Golden State.

While Curry is obviously still on the roster, Redick would provide that second backcourt sniper. He’s coming off one of his best seasons as a professional.

He averaged 15.3 points per game. What’s far more impressive than that is that he blew away his career three-point shooting percentage, connecting on 45.3 percent from deep, the second-best shooting season of his career.

Redick is a veteran, and he plays his role well. He knew that, when he signed to a young Pelicans team, his role would change. He adapted to it and ended up thriving in the role he was given. He could do the same in Golden State. His contract is a bit high, making just over $13 million.

If the Warriors can figure something out, it’d be a terrific addition.
