Rajon Rondo

Coming off an NBA Championship, Rajon Rondo may head back to Los Angeles or he may head to Atlanta, both are strong possibilities. As for the Warriors, it would make quite a bit of sense for them to want Rondo on their roster.

He’d be the perfect distributor for their second unit, one that has playmaking options like second-year guard Jordan Poole and forward Eric Paschall. Rondo, this past season, averaged 7.1 points and 5.0 assists per game.

They weren’t great numbers for him, but per 36 minutes, they did rank highly on his career. He’s still a solid contributor and could thrive with Golden State. Rondo has been a winner at the highest level on two teams, and he’s the leader that the bench needs.

Rondo’s intentions right now, given the rumors surrounding the Hawks interest, are in question. Does he want that leadership spot? Does he want a role where he can contend and still provide that?

Rondo could have it all as the backup point guard in Golden State. It’s a perfect fit.
