Shabazz Napier

Another solid option that would provide less leadership but enhanced shooting is former UConn star, Shabazz Napier.

A former first-round pick, Napier just completed his sixth season in the league. Napier, throughout his career, has played for six teams as well. He’s been all around the league, and finding a consistent home may be what’s next for Napier.

The attraction for Golden State is in the fact that he can shoot well. While he averaged under 32 percent from three this season, he has had a few seasons in which he’s topped 37 percent from downtown.

The problem with the addition of Napier is that he wouldn’t have been that much of an upgrade over Bowman. He’s not a player they can trust, but he’s certainly one they could target if the market gets dry.

At 6-foot, he’s also undersized which makes him a subpar defender. That said, he’s still worth a shot if the Warriors can’t secure another veteran guard.
