Emmanuel Mudiay

The Golden State Warriors’ number one priority should be to find a backup guard that can fill in for Stephen Curry. Can Emmanuel Mudiay be their guy?

Mudiay has been in the league since he was 19 years old and at only 23 years of age, he still has some potential to carve out a role as a quality second unit guy. He is a tall, shifty guard with a smooth handle and solid understanding of the game. In many ways, he can replicate what Shaun Livingston brought to the Dubs.

Last season, Mudiay averaged 7.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists as a bench player for Utah. This was following a career-high run with the New York Knicks where he posted 14.8 points and 3.9 assists. Mudiay brings quality playmaking and scoring to the floor each night.

The Warriors would be able to bank on Mudiay playing as a reserve for Curry throughout the season. He may even become a member of their young core if he is able to continue getting his career back on track.
