Rajon Rondo

Another player that would’ve thrived in Golden State is Rajon Rondo. Rondo ended up signing with the Hawks, a team on the rise hoping to make the playoffs this season.

They have Trae Young and John Collins leading the way, and Rondo will play a crucial role off the bench. Like with Howard, Rondo is coming off a title with the Lakers. He also is heading to a team without great odds at a championship.

Rondo averaged 7.1 points and 5.0 rebounds per game with the Lakers this past season. Having led the league in assists for three seasons and in steals once, Rondo has been a champion on two different franchises.

With the experience and defensive savvy that Rondo has, adding him would’ve been great for the team. An experienced champion in the backup point guard role seems much more ideal than Wanamaker.

Rondo ended up in Atlanta, and he’ll thrive them helping train the up-and-coming superstar in Young.
