Shabazz Napier

The last option for the mid-level exception is another player that would be a rather disappointing addition for the potential price tag.

While Wanamaker may do the trick, it still wouldn’t be shocking to see the Warriors invest in a veteran backup point guard that’s played in the league for quite some time. Napier could be that guy.

Former UConn star Shabazz Napier would provide the team with high-value shooting and could thrive in the Warriors team-first offense. He averaged a career-high 10.3 points per game last season.

The problem with Napier has always been his efficiency as he’s notched over 40 percent from the field in just two of his six seasons. Napier is one of the better point guards still on the market, and he’ll likely be signed soon with names flying off the board.

It feels like he’d be a good fit with the Warriors, but it’d likely be on the minimum over the full mid-level exception.
