The Golden State Warriors recently had two picks in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft at 48 and 52. As of late, the Warriors have been pretty good at developing hidden talent from the back end of the draft.

In this most recent draft, the Golden State Warriors chose James Wiseman at No. 2overall, which many people thought was the right decision. With the injury to Klay Thompson who will be out for another full season, the James Wiseman pick was nothing short of genius.

Honestly, the Warriors may have picked Wiseman if the Thompson injury did not happen. The pick shows their desire to get back to championship form.

While everyone is talking about the great first-round pick, not many people are for the two-second rounders. With the 48th pick, Golden State selected freshman point guard Nico Mannion from Arizona and signed him to a two-way contract.

At 52 the team selected senior shooting guard Justinian Jessup from Boise State.

Nico Mannion averaged 14 points, two rebounds, and five assist a game at Arizona. Even on a two-way contract, Nico may be able to find his way onto the chase center hardwood sometime this upcoming season.

If not, the Italian may be able to help the Santa Cruz Warriors in their season.

Justinian Jessup may get on the floor this year but likely not for the Golden State Warriors. Jessup was very good at Boise State, but not really an NBA caliber player.

However, there are some other players the Warriors have drafted in the second round who were better than expected. Golden State has done a great job developing their talent in the past, and have one of the best second-rounders in Warriors history on their current roster.
