Aron Baynes

After the Toronto Raptors knew they were going to lose Marc Gasol, they went out and added Aron Baynes. Baynes would’ve been the perfect addition for the Golden State Warriors as he’s both a skilled and experienced big man. Baynes has recently found his touch from deep.

After not shooting three for the first six years of his career, Baynes last two have been full of his finally getting range. This past season, he averaged 1.4 threes per game and shot over 35 percent from deep.

He nearly doubled his points per game as Deandre Ayton missed a chunk of the season. Although he’s been in the league for eight seasons, Baynes is arguably just now reaching his ceiling.

While he would’ve have been a star in the Bay Area, Baynes would’ve helped Curry, Green and Wiseman space the floor. His size at 6-foot-10 would’ve also been helpful as even, after the addition of No. 2 overall pick Wiseman, the team still only has two players at or above 6-foot-10.

His range and experience should’ve made him a prime target for Golden State’s MLE, but it didn’t seem like any rumors truly surfaced of the two sides talking.
