Alec Burks

The Golden State Warriors picked up the struggled and oftentimes injured Alec Burks last offseason. After Curry’s injury, Burks was given far more responsibility within an offense that was without its top two scorers.

He took full advantage of that and averaged 16.1 points per game while with the Warriors. At the deadline, knowing there was no chance of making the playoffs, the Warriors traded him to Philadelphia. Burks played well in Philadephia, averaging just over 12 points per game.

He shot well from deep, hitting just over 37 percent in Golden State and over 41 percent with the Sixers. Burks brings a confident shooter, a hard-nosed defender and an experienced professional to any team.

Next season, that team will be the Knicks. Burks may have had some contact with the Warriors, especially have so much success in Golden State, but he decided to sign with another high-profile franchise.

Burks will perform well in New York, but he certainly won’t get close to a championship like he could in Golden State.
