Marc Gasol

This one stings.

After helping the Raptors down the Warriors in the 2019 NBA Finals, Gasol played another season with Toronto before taking his talents to Los Angeles. The Lakers, coming off a title, drastically improved their roster.

Gasol will now join a franchise that exalted his brother Pau as one of their mid-2010 legend. Now, Marc will get to leave his mark on the franchise. The 6-foot-11 former Defensive Player of the Year has everything in his toolbag to help any team.

He can shoot from deep, defend at a high level, protect the rim and pass well. There’s not much he can’t do although, with his age, he is becoming less efficient and just slower overall. He’s still a player that will be an elite option off the bench.

Gasol made a good decision, but it just would’ve nice to see him join the Warriors on the MLE.
