The splash brothers

Let’s take a second and be thankful for the splash brothers.

Splash brother No. 1 is arguably the best shooter in NBA history. Curry, who is still active and has already missed a handful of games, is under 500 threes away from having the most in league history.

He’ll hit that mark easily. Curry, a two-time MVP and six-time All-Star, was the league’s only unanimous MVP. He’s that good.

Curry was drafted seventh overall in the 2009 NBA Draft. His size was a reason he slipped, but it’s proven not to be a problem at all as Curry’s offensive explosion has helped transform the way basketball is played.

Splash brother No. 2 has been the quintessential player to pair with Curry. Despite two season-ending injuries, Thompson will still likely go down as one of the greatest shooters in league history. He currently ranks 18th in NBA history in terms of three-pointers made.

However, not many players can say they’ve made over 40 percent of their threes in each of their eight seasons in the league. The five-time All-Star has made over three triples per game in his last five consecutive seasons in which he’s also averaged over 20 points per game.

An elite defender, he’s half of the splash brotherhood, and the duo has been the lifeline of this dynasty.
