1. P.J. Tucker

There may not be a better player the Golden State Warriors could realistically target with their DPE than P.J. Tucker. In addition to potentially being able to trade for him – the Warriors could also pick up Tucker later in the season if a buy-out is made between him and the Houston Rockets.

Tucker was one of the NBA’s most versatile defenders last season. His wide frame allowed him to shield off bigger opponents in the paint while he also displayed the lateral quickness to guard the perimeter at a reliable rate. Tucker can reasonably defend 1-5 and will be an instant impact defender for Golden State.

More importantly, Tucker is a lethal corner 3-point shooter. Tucker drilled nearly 40 percent of his attempts from the corner last season, leading the league in this category. His presence as a floor spacer is something that would be valuable for the Warriors’ frontcourt.

Tucker may not be the defender that James Wiseman and Draymond Green are, but he is a much better shooter than both of them. This adds a nice wrinkle to the Dubs’ offense and there is no doubt Tucker would be a key rotational player for the Warriors.
