The Golden State Warriors have a very, very, very slim chance at bringing in two-time reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, but here’s what could get it done.

After the Milwaukee Bucks overbought for Jrue Holiday, everyone in the league thought the Golden State Warriors had no chance at acquiring Giannis Antetokounmpo. While that’s likely still the case, there could be a new hope.

Several disappointing postseason losses in a row had many thinking the Warriors, or any team in the league for that matter, could swoop in and steal Giannis. That’s far from the case as only a massive, almost never-before-seen deal could do that.

But, the reason there’s hope is that, even though the Bucks did improve quite a bit with the addition of Holiday, they struck out on Giannis’ first choice, Bogdan Bogdanovic. That could be a huge factor in Giannis’ long-term happiness.

“Bogdanovic was communicated as Antetokoumpo’s preferred addition all offseason,” Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer wrote.

Antetokounmpo’s yet to sign the supermax. That’s all we need to know for now. Once that pen hits the paper, it’s over for any other team. Again, it likely still is as Giannis saying he’s forcing is way out will really be the only way he’s traded at this point.

That said, let’s dive into five trades that the Warriors could theoretically offer for Giannis that could get the ball rolling.
