Shabazz Napier

A former standout at UConn, the 6-foot-1 point guard would serve as a three-point shooting threat behind Stephen Curry. Napier is 29 and has much experience under this belt, having played in the league for six years.

Napier is coming off his best season as a pro, finally averaging over ten points per game. After becoming a Wizard, his numbers went up even further, averaging almost 12 points per game. On his career, Napier has played for six different teams.

While he’s not the most efficient shooter, Napier has averaged over a three per game his last three seasons. He hasn’t played that many minutes either, one reason his numbers aren’t better. Per 36 minutes, he’s averaged over two threes per game the last two seasons.

That said, the team did add Brad Wanamaker and waive Ky Bowman, so the opening for a backup point guard is still there as there is only two on the roster, but whether or not Napier makes the cut of being worthy is certainly close.
