Ersan Ilyasova

One of the league’s biggest journeyman, Ersan Ilyasova has spent the last several seasons with the Bucks. Now, he’s on the open market. While his numbers are down the last two seasons, Ilyasova is an aging power forward. He’s experienced, and he can shoot.

The Warriors would much rather give him a minimum-value deal if he is brought in, but he could also be a mid-level exception option. Ilyasova’s main benefit would be as a stretch four in their small-ball lineup.

He’s averaged 1.1 threes per game on his career and shot over 36 percent from deep. He did average seven straight seasons of double figures and has since put together two seasons in which he’s had just under seven points per game.

Ilyasova is a viable offensive weapon, and he can provide a threat off the bench that’s different than Eric Paschall or really any other weapon the Warriors have in their frontcourt.

Paying him and overpaying him is far different, and if the former is done, Ilyasova will likely be giving just a few million and not the full MLE if he’s even an option for the Warriors.
