Kent Bazemore

The 6-foot-4 Kent Bazemore is making a return to the Warriors. After playing 61 games with the team as a rookie and then playing a part of his second season with the team, Bazemore has taken a veteran’s minimum to return back to the Bay Area.

He’ll have a massive role off the team’s bench, especially if players have to miss time with Covid-19.

Bazemore is joining the team after a stint with the Kings and Trail Blazers. He’s bounced around the league quite a bit with his longest stretch in one place being with the Atlanta Hawks for five seasons.

Averaging 10.3 points per game with the Kings, his latest stop, Bazemore shot over 38 percent from deep and notched 1.1 triples per game. On top of that, he averaged 4.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game.

He has everything in his toolbag to be a solid option for the Warriors, and they should be excited that, if a small forward or shooting guard has to miss time, they’ll be able to bring the veteran off the bench.

He still has an ability to score, averaging over ten points per game in four of his five seasons with the Hawks. The Warriors may need that as they’ve already had two Covid-19 tests come back positive.
