Lakers offseason extensions

Let’s start with the two most significant and most essential moves they made. First, they agreed to extend two players that are currently on their team. Those two players are the same who led them to a championship last season.

The Lakers signed LeBron James to a two-year contract extension worth $85 million, meaning he will potentially be on the Lakers for another three years. If that comes to be accurate, LeBron James will be close 40 when his contract is up.

Even by then, it is safe to assume that James will still be a great player, considering the longevity he has shown thus far. Another big story from the Lakers offseason was the extension of Anthony Davis for five years and $190 million.

The All-Star big man played 62 games last season. He averaged 26 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks per game. At the age of 27, the Lakers will have Davis through his prime. His contract will end when he is 32 unless he gets extended again.
