Lou Williams

One player that’s been among those that many think could be traded is Clippers star Lou Williams.

He’s an elite bench scorer, the trait that’s followed him all throughout his career in the NBA, but after the team’s collapse in the postseason, it may be time he finds a new home. The 6-foot-1 guard averaged 18.2 points per game last season with the Clippers.

However, that average was down from his numbers in both the two seasons before where he eclipsed 20 points per game. That said, the best part about Williams is that he also fits under the DPE with a salary next season of $8 million.

Williams would help the Warriors’ second unit quite a bit. The microwave-style player averaged 1.7 triples per game last season. That was actually up from last season, topping 35 percent from downtown.

The Warriors have second-unit help. Jordan Poole, Damion Lee, Eric Paschall, and others will be able to step up, but Williams is an elite option and much better and more consistent than all the Warriors options.
