With Klay Thompson out for the season, the Golden State Warriors must make rash moves. Could trading Andrew Wiggins be one of them?

The Golden State Warriors brought in Andrew Wiggins last season.

The former No. 1 overall pick was not a hot commodity in the trade market mainly because of his incredibly overpriced contract. Wiggins has been a solid scoring option, and he’s proven that he can do that at a high level.

Wiggins has averaged over 20 points per game in three of his six seasons. While that’s been highly impressive, his ascension as a three-point shooter is arguably the most important factor of Wiggins’ game that should’ve enhanced the Warriors’ desire to add him.

For the first time in his career last season, Wiggins averaged over two threes per game. He was a consistent and, at times, lethal three-point shooter. That’s something the Warriors will look to this season.

However, the Warriors may not want to keep paying his lofty contract when they could save quite a bit of money without him. Even better, Wiggins could be coupled with another player to potentially bring in another superstar for the team to pair with Stephen Curry.

That said, let’s dive into five reasonable trades the Warriors should make.
