Number Three: DeMarre Carroll

DeMarre Carroll is one of the best bargains available for the veteran’s minimum right now and he could be a huge difference-maker for the Golden State Warriors.

Carroll, 34, has the ability to play small forward, power forward, and center, which are all positions of need for the Warriors. He is just an overall good player who would be great depth for any team, especially one like the Warriors who could use some high caliber players.

Carroll’s ability to play the center position in a stretch-four role is huge as well because that is easily one of the biggest weaknesses for the Warriors right now until James Wiseman can prove he’s a capable NBA center.

Carroll has a reputation of being a gritty defender who can contest shots and make plays, and the Warriors could use a guy like that coming off the bench. He finished a disappointing season split between the Spurs and Rockets last season.

Carroll could regain his sense of importance with the Warriors if he can provide shooting and defense.
