The main objective in these trades will be for the Golden State Warriors to receive James Harden while maintaining as much current talent as possible. This is most accomplished in this proposed deal including Andrew Wiggins, Kelly Oubre Jr. and a flurry of future picks.

We can’t stress enough that while on the surface, losing these picks seems like a big blow. However, the Warriors truly don’t have to stress over first round picks when adding a player like James Harden to their existing core.

Wiggins and Oubre are two quality role players, but they will never amount to the production Harden can offer. Trading two smaller gems for a diamond has worked out every single time in NBA history – and there’s no reason to think this would be the exception.

Harden, alongside Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and James Wiseman, provides the durability and potency on offense that can keep the Dubs’ dynasty soaring through the decade.
