1. Lauri Markkanen

This one is a bit of a shot in the dark, but with the Chicago Bulls entering the desperation stages of their rebuild, Lauri Markkanen is someone who could become available later this season.

Let’s play hypotheticals. Imagine the trade deadline is approaching and the Bulls are far from playoff contention. Their latest lottery pick, Patrick Williams, is struggling alongside Markkanen in the frontcourt and Zach Lavine is growing increasingly frustrated. In the hope of shaking things up, the Bulls push to move Markanen for a change of scenery.

The Warriors can step in here and offer a package of young players or draft picks to pry Markkanen from the Bulls. In this deal, the Dubs add a versatile stretch big that can help lead the future of the franchise will making them contenders in the present.

Markkanen averaged 14.7 points and 6.3 rebounds last season on 34.4 percent shooting from deep. He is a 7-footer with a wide array of talents offensively. His fit next to James Wiseman could help create a long-term inside-out dynamic that pushes the Warriors into title contention for years to come.
