2. Indiana Pacers

Another team poised for a firesale anytime soon is the Indiana Pacers. With Victor Oladipo not-so-subtly hinting he wants to be traded to a different team, the Golden State Warriors can satisfy his request with this potential deal.

The Pacers would definitely push for some young compensation in return for their star player. Oladipo is reasonably worth a package of Andre Wiggins, Jordan Poole and multiple first round picks.

By doing this deal, the Warriors gain an elite two-way presence to contend next to Stephen Curry in the backcourt. This fit is seamless while Klay Thompson nurtures his Achilles – but will still be effective in a small-ball lineup with both of the Splash Brothers playing off Oladipo’s springy athleticism.

Oladipo averaged 22.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.4 steals per game as he pushed the Cleveland Cavaliers to a decisive Game 7 in 2018. This was the last time Oladipo looked truly engaged and is an example of what we could expect from him in a Warriors uniform.

His all-around skill set makes him the ideal player to trade for. Of course, there is a risk he jumps ship at the end of his contract. But, I’d gladly take a one-year rental if it means winning a championship this year.
