1. Houston Rockets
There has been much speculation as to where James Harden will end up this season. All we know for sure, it’s growing increasingly unlikely he begins the season in a Houston Rocket’s uniform.
Harden has reportedly listed teams such as the Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers as the locations he would like to be traded to. However, as we should know from the Kawhi Leonard to Toronto deal – player empowerment only goes so far when the owners have the final say in where a star is traded.
This means the Warriors would have to beat out every other trade offer and give the Rockets a deal that couldn’t pass up. Is a package of Andrew Wiggins, Kevon Looney and three first round picks enough?
We can argue all day whether or not the Rockets would be interested. However, we can’t debate the impact Harden would have on the Warriors. His presence would instantly lift them back into title contention and at his peak, he can elevate the Dubs back to dynasty status.
Harden is one of the most talented scorers of all-time. There is no question he would thrive in the Warriors system. He is undoubtedly worth the price, so long as he cooperates with the team and is willing to make the proper sacrifices to win a championship.
