The Golden State Warriors have their backs to the wall, making it the perfect time for a few players to have breakout seasons.

Somebody needs to step up. That is the main theme of the 2020-21 NBA season for the Golden State Warriors. With all the chips down and everyone betting against them – someone will have to play above expectations in order for the team to succeed.

We all know what to expect from Stephen Curry. Well, at least some of us do. While ESPN and other sites have listed Curry outside the top five – anyone who is familiar with the two-time MVP understands what is in store for the upcoming season.

The same goes for Draymond Green. While many have used last season as an indication that Green is slowing down, those who have watched him for years know exactly where this is going. The former Defensive Player of the Year has a reason to be amped up again and it’s hard to imagine he will sit back idly while Curry attempts to carry the roster.

As for the rest of the team? Well, the Warriors will be counting on one of their role players to have a breakout season. Let’s look at three players with the potential to exceed expectations this year.
