The Warriors played their last game of the preseason against the Sacramento Kings and won113-109. They will start their regular season play on Tuesday against the Brooklyn Nets.

The Golden State Warriors have had somewhat of a successful offseason. With yet another injury to Klay Thompson that will have him sidelined for a whole season just like the last year, the Warriors had to make some interesting moves.

To make up for their losses, the Warriors drafted the best overall player in the draft in James Wiseman. The seven-footer has all the tools to be a franchise player and hopefully can show some of that this year.

While they did spend a second overall pick on the big man out of Memphis, he has yet to play in the preseason. Due to COVID implications, Wiseman and Green have been out for all three games.

However, the Warriors second-round pick in Nico Mannion has played in all three preseason games and has looked well. He will probably not play much this season, but he could blossom into a great player.

In this game, the Warriors played their starters a little longer than a usual preseason match. A few of those starters played tremendously and helped lead this team to a win.

GREAT PERFORMANCES

Stephen Curry, G

The Warriors greatest player of all time didn’t start the game well. Actually, he was 3-for-13 in the first half but came back hot. Curry finished with 29 points in 29 minutes. His three steals were a team-high and a big part of his +11.

Steve Kerr did a great job allowing Curry to play through his slump while restricting his minutes to let him be fresh for Tuesday.

Andrew Wiggins, F

Wiggins played a tremendous offensive game in this one, as expected.

He hit some big shots, including a big step back three. Not only was his shot looking good from outside, but he was also able to get to the rim at will. Wiggins drew a foul on a few of the drives, which is something Kerr loves about him.

Coach Kerr said he feels Wiggins could become an All-NBA defensive player this season. While his defense did not look great, he showed a few flashes of good defense. He will be a fun player to watch this season and should be great for this Warriors team.

Kelly Oubre, F

The newest addition to the team played terrific in their last preseason game. In the previous two games, Oubre did not shoot well from three.

However, in this game, he was lights out. Oubre was also amazing on the boards, with a putback dunk to go along with his four rebounds. His +19 on the night shows how valuable he was to the team, and how big of an impact he can be.
