Golden State Warriors: Analyzing Kent Bazemore’s role on bench
By Justin Lee
The Advantages Bazemore Has Over Other Bench Players
So far, the Warriors have played three pre-season games before starting their season on Tuesday against the Nets. In those games, head coach Steve Kerr has let the bench players show their worth. With that, it looks like there could be some solid players coming off the bench for the Warriors.
One player that may have his spot in the second unit locked up is Kent Bazemore. Formally being with the team, he may have a chemistry advantage over some of the other players.
In his time with the Warriors before this season, he played with a few of the current players on this team. Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green were all apart of the squad then and had good chemistry with Bazemore. Not to mention he and Curry are very good friends and golf together occasionally and have the Under Armor connection.
Another advantage that Bazemore has is his age. He and Brad Wannamaker would be the second oldest players on the team and the oldest on the bench. This is a younger Warriors team that will need experience off of the bench in the playoffs.
It is safe to say that Bazemore will be on the bench unit, and rightfully so. When looking at the rest of the roster, he can bring several intangibles to the team and for other young players.
