The Golden State Warriors most definitely made their team better this offseason, but they did miss out on a few minimum-salary free agents.
Receiving the news that they’d have to play yet another season without five-time All-Star Klay Thompson for yet another season, the Warriors did the best they could to ensure that this team can compete.
They’ll have two-time MVP Stephen Curry back on the court, and he’s shown that he’s back during the preseason. The best should still be yet to come from Curry as he’ll look to captain this offense without his long-time backcourt mate.
The Warriors went out and added Brad Wanamaker to be behind Curry, a role they were looking to fill all offseason. Aside from Wanamaker, the Warriors traded for Kelly Oubre Jr., signed Kent Bazemore, and drafted James Wiseman.
Having made the Finals in five of the last six seasons, the Warriors’ front office should hope that this team has the ability to get them back. While they could’ve done more, the Warriors did enough to floor a competitive roster.
They have shooting, athleticism, defense, and much more, but consistent efficiency might be what takes them to the next level. Despite having a successful offseason, the Warriors might have been able to do a bit better by signing these three veteran’s minimum players.
That said, let’s dive into who they are.
