Markieff Morris

One known as the better of the two Morris brothers, Markieff re-signed with the reigning champs, Los Angeles Lakers. Morris signed a midseason deal with Lake Show after being cut by the Detroit Pistons.

After the longest stint of his career being with the Phoenix Suns and Washington Wizards, it must have been refreshing to find a team that is successful. Now with a ring, Morris will be setting his sights on helping snag another.

Morris signed for a veteran’s minimum. While he likely would’ve chosen LA over Golden State regardless, Morris is a solid option at the three. After averaging double figures for five straight seasons, he barely missed it the last two seasons –notching 9.4 and 9.7 points per game.

Tag 1.5 threes on 39 percent from deep to it, and it’s clear that Morris will be a great option off the bench. He’s big, can score, and can shoot efficiently. Add all those together, and you have a target the Warriors should’ve called up.

Morris, like Jackson, was likely always going to re-sign in LA. But, Golden State still is an allure for free agents, so you never really know.
