3. Courtney Lee

The Dallas Mavericks chose to waive veteran Courtney Lee before the start of their season. While Lee might not fit what the Mavericks are looking to do, he could be a nice addition to the Golden State Warriors.

Golden State is hurting for experienced assets. Most of their core rotation consists of unproven stars like Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre Jr. – or young prospects such as James Wiseman and Eric Paschall. Only a few names stand out with any sort of playoff experience.

This makes a player like Lee more valuable than normal. You never know when the 34-year-old guard might come in handy when the team needs to close out games. In a season where the Warriors are facing plenty of challenges, it could be helpful to have a vet readily available on the bench.

Lee might not be as effective as he used to be – but he is still capable of knocking down 3-pointers. He shot 44.7 percent on close to 50 attempts last season and can be counted on to space the floor and bring physicality on the wing.
