1. Rondae Hollis Jefferson

In one of the more puzzling moves of the offseason, the Minnesota Timberwolves elected to waive Rondae Hollis-Jefferson shortly before the regular season begins. Jefferson was a player we have been covering for a few months now as someone the Dubs should target – and now the dream is alive again.

Jefferson is a highly-active defender with a long wingspan and elite athleticism. His strength and never-ending motor made him one of the scrappiest perimeter players and someone who would get along well with Kelly Oubre Jr. and Andrew Wiggins.

The Warriors showcased a bit of full-court defense in the preseason with Joe Lacob stating that the team is looking to use their athleticism more than ever this year. The days of overwhelming opponents with 3-point barrages are gone without Klay Thompson in the rotation. Instead, the Warriors are going to claw and fight for fastbreaks every possession.

This makes Jefferson an ideal candidate for the system. He is far from being a reliable 3-point shooter, but his strengths as a slashing defender would be on full display with the Dubs. There is really no reason not to give him a chance at this point. At his best, he can be the second coming of Andre Iguodala.
