The Golden State Warriors desperately need a second superstar in order to not waste another year of prime Stephen Curry. Is James Harden that star?

After the Golden State Warriors’ first game of the season, one thing is clear: this team needs a second true superstar. When Stephen Curry doesn’t have the ball in his hands or is on the court, the offense seems completely lost.

Yes, Draymond Green‘s eventual return should aid the Warriors on both ends of the court, but it’s a long shot to say that he’ll make them a contender in the Western Conference.

The Warriors brought in Kelly Oubre Jr. with their trade exception hoping that he’d be able to take them to the next level. He played well in the opener, but his inefficiencies proved to handicap Golden State.

Oubre Jr. and Andrew Wiggins must both be better, and if your team is banking on their improvements to contend, that’s won’t be a good feeling as the season progresses.

However, we are in a time where disgruntled superstars typically get their way. James Harden doesn’t seem happy in Houston and could force his way out. That said, let’s dive into three trades the Warriors should craft and offer up to the Rockets.
