Dragan Bender

Signing a few ten-day contracts with the Warriors last season, the team should look into bringing back Dragan Bender. Bender was brought into the NBA to be the next Kristaps Porzingis; that’s why he was taken with a top-five draft pick.

While playing in Israel now, Bender could make his way back to the NBA either before that contract is up or following the completion of their season. He’s got the talent, but the market just wasn’t there as he’s yet to live up to the lofty hype.

The 7-foot Bender was drafted by the Suns in the 2016 NBA Draft. He had his best season in the league during his second year, averaging over six points per game and playing in all 82 games for Phoenix.

They gave up on him following his third season. He went from Milwaukee and settled in Golden State after their season was all but over. Bender averaged nine points and 1.2 threes per game. If he can do that again, it may be worth the risk.

Neither Kevon Looney or Marquese Chriss have proven to be competent shooters, although Chriss has shown improvement. For the sake of depth, size, and shooting, Bender would be a worth-while addition.
