Kelly Oubre Jr.

The Warriors paid nearly four times the actual salary of Kelly Oubre Jr. to bring him to the Bay Area. The cap hit is going to be massive, and he needs to start showing that he’s worthy of such a price tag.

No one is expecting Kelly Oubre Jr. to be the next superstar, but they are expecting him to be a decent scoring option. He has been far from that. While the energy is there, Oubre Jr. has shot 11 threes and missed them all.

The 25-year-old has scored a combined nine points and has had five turnovers to go with those. Last season, he was nearing 15 points per game and shooting over 35 percent from deep. The Warriors desperately are craving that player to return to action.

Every fan should be hoping that it’s just some nerves and Oubre Jr. will return to normal when the Warriors start to play teams that aren’t among the league’s best.

But, the Warriors are used to beat those teams, and Oubre Jr. needs to be a focal point in why they can return to the top of the league. The losses can’t be blamed solely on him, but he must be better moving forward.
