Charlotte Hornets

The third team on our shortlist of those that could potentially be the third team in a three-way deal is the Charlotte Hornets.

The Michael Jordan-owned team drafted LaMelo Ball, hoping he’s the future of their franchise. While it’s too early to tell on Ball, the Hornets should look to build around the playmaking of both Ball and Terry Rozier.

While Wiggins may not provide the shooting they’d want, he does give them a solid starter at the three. Wiggins and Miles Bridges could adequately man the frontcourt. It’s not a perfect fit, but it’s possible nonetheless.

The Hornets have the second-most cap space available and third-most practical cap space. It’s a move that could set them up for the future if they can add that coveted 2021 first-round pick that Golden State acquired from Minnesota.

Ball with a Terrence Clarke or BJ Boston would be much more confident. That said, it’s possible but again a three-way trade involving Wiggins will always seem unlikely until his sporadic play drives him out of Golden State.
