The Golden State Warriors may be in store for another rough season, and they should be prepared to send away expendable pieces in 2021.

After kicking the season off on a two-game losing streak, the Golden State Warriors have found some success against weaker Eastern Conference teams. They need to be better, and that ceiling may not be there until Klay Thompson returns next season.

It’s a sad reality that the team may be forced into understanding.

The Warriors just haven’t looked good on both ends of the court against high-level competition. If they postpone the return of their dynasty one more season, they’ll have a second-year James Wiseman as well as a healthy Klay Thompson.

Wiseman was the team’s first-round pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, and he’s been everything they hoped he would be to start the season. Aside from Wiseman, the Warriors haven’t been able to get much from their new additions.

That said, if the Golden State Warriors can’t figure out how to win against some solid competition, here are three players that could be expendable and likely traded prior to the 2021 NBA trade deadline.
