The last few weeks have been interesting, to say the least, but the Golden State Warriors are showing the world they aren’t dead yet.

Some fans around the league have been waiting, praying and hoping for the Golden State Warriors‘ reign to come to an end. When they opened the season taking multiple beatings from top tier NBA teams, the victory lap began prematurely.

Like always, Stephen Curry heard all of the criticism and rose to the occasion. A 62-point bombing over the very guard who took a shot at him just a few nights before let the world know that Curry wasn’t going anywhere.

Curry’s breakout game was in part due to the return of Draymond Green, which has had a profound impact on the rest of the team. His experience and his knowledge of the game helps unlock possibilities that otherwise wouldn’t be there for Golden State.

And, due to Green’s return, the Warriors are looking more like the dynasty we used to know. While they aren’t exactly going to become title favorites anytime soon, they are showing all the glimpses of future success that we need to see from them at this point.

The Warriors took down the Portland Trail Blazers and Sacramento Kings in consecutive games before battling in a heavy-weight match with the LA Clippers. Though they fell to an all-around team performance from LA, the Warriors were competitive all the way through and flashed their potential.

We know what Curry and Green bring to the table, but improved shot creation from Andrew Wiggins has helped them take another step forward. Meanwhile, Eric Paschall is doing everything he can to support the second unit – and James Wiseman is jumping out to a ROTY worthy start.

The only thing missing right now is outside shooting. We are all still waiting for Kelly Oubre Jr. to snap out of his dry spell from deep and begin knocking down shots at a higher rate. If this happens, the team will be in a much better position to compete moving forward.
