The trade deadline is March 25, but the Golden State Warriors should go ahead and start looking at potential targets, one of which should be Aron Baynes.

The Golden State Warriors, in four months, are going to be contending for a spot in the Western Conference playoffs. The Toronto Raptors and Miami Heat, who teams that were thought to be among the best in the East, may not be.

That may open up some usually unavailable players to be traded. One of those players could be Aron Baynes. Baynes thrived with the Suns last season as DeAndre Ayton was suspended for over a third of the season.

Baynes almost doubled his points per game and showed an improved touch from deep. For Golden State, they could use Baynes on their roster, especially since Marquese Chriss hasn’t played since breaking his late last year.

With picks and a disabled player exception at their disposal, the Warriors have what it takes to pull off a trade for a player that isn’t necessarily an elite asset. That said, let’s dive into three reasons why Baynes would be a solid trade target.
