Marquese Chriss is going to make a return hopefully this season, but aside from Chriss, the Warriors only have Kevon Looney and James Wiseman.

Looney isn’t the biggest or most agressive big man, and as for Wiseman, he hasn’t necessarily learned how to play without fouling. Also, down the stretch, Wiseman typically isn’t the big man of choice for head coach Steve Kerr.

Of players that have been in at least ten games, Wiseman has played the sixth-most third quarter minutes and seventh-most fourth quarter minutes. There’s still some defensive rotations and just general instricts that Wiseman needs to get down more frequently.

As for Baynes, he’s a 6-foot-10 veteran center.

Even Looney has only been in the league since 2015. Baynes would be able to come in and give the Warriors a veteran presence off the bench, something they lack with Looney and Wiseman and will continue to lack even when Chriss returns.
