What do the Golden State Warriors want to accomplish this season? Some have suggested they punt and focus all of their attention on next season, while Steve Kerr seems locked into the idea of competing for a playoff spot and getting some much-needed experience under their belt.

Of course, Kerr is referring to players like Andrew Wiggins, Kelly Oubre, Eric Paschall and James Wiseman. This group has little to no playoff experience and has shown throughout the first quarter of this season that they have a lot to learn when it comes to playing winning basketball. This has even pushed Kerr to take Wiseman out of the starting lineup in exchange for Kevon Looney.

Consequently, battling for postseason position becomes a bit more difficult with a young and inconsistent supporting cast around your stars. Golden State is just 3-9 against current playoff teams and ranks ninth in the West. This means the Dubs might have to shake things up and make a trade before the deadline.

These three players could all be on the trading block and could be of major use to the Golden State Warriors this season.

We wouldn’t expect the Warriors to make another blockbuster deal like they did last year when they swapped D’Angelo Russell for Wiggins. Instead, look for an under the radar trade that brings a quality role player to the rotation.

The Warriors have enough assets to gun for just about anybody on the market. These are three players who can help the most if the front office decides to pull the trigger on a swap.
