3 Golden State Warriors who have earned more minutes
Juan Toscano-Anderson
Against the Mavericks the second time, Toscano-Anderson has just two points, but he did make his only attempt of the game.
The 6-foot-6 power forward has been in some of the Warriors’ most efficient lineups since this small-ball transition, and it’s thanks to him that they’ve been able to play well. In the two-point loss, he had ten rebounds and two assists to go with those two points.
This season, playing in nine games, Toscano-Anderson has averaged 5.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.0 points per game. In those appearances, he’s played in under 20 minutes of action, and I highly doubt that continues even after this team is at full strength.
It feels as though Toscano-Anderson may have the making of that Andre Iguodala-type impact on the game. He’s transitioning into a do-it-all defender, a capable rebounder, and a three-point shooter that can consistently hit from deep.
If he continues to do just that, he’ll get minutes regardless of who is healthy.
