3 Golden State Warriors who have earned more minutes
Kent Bazemore
Kent Bazemore is a solid option for the Warriors. He’s a veteran that knows how to play and can score on a consistent basis.
With 20 off the bench on an extremely efficient 7-for-11 from the field, Bazemore was a key reason why the Warriors were able to hang with the Mavericks despite both teams giving up over 130 points.
The Dubs lost by two, playing four players off the bench. Three of them had negative plus/minus counts while Bazemore’s was a plus-ten.
Since coming over from Sacramento, he’s had a positive influence on the team and has provided scoring off the bench.
This season, he’s notching 5.3 points per game while getting just over 15 minutes per game. He needs to get in the game more as Bazemore has averaged a career-high 50 percent from the field. He’s also shooting over 40 percent from deep for the first time in his career.
Bazemore can play, and more importantly, he can make smart decisions. Because he’s proven both those reasons to be true, Bazemore should see an uptick in minutes.
