The Golden State Warriors are in playoff contention, and making a move to enhance those odds may not be out of the question in 2021.

Despite recent losses to the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs, the Golden State Warriors are still in playoff contention. In a 72-game season, this team should be fine although they haven’t played overly well recently.

What we have seen from Joe Lacob and the front office is a team that’s willing to put their foot forward to make the Warriors’ season a success.

They added shooting guard Kelly Oubre Jr. this offseason, using their $17.2 million trade exception. In doing so, the Warriors become drastically deeper in the luxury cap. That’s just one of many moves they’ve made to help this team stay in contention.

Just retaining five-time All-Star Klay Thompson and Draymond Green by giving them max-level contracts is another way this team has shown that they’re dedicated to winning over the long term.

This season is no different, and with a disabled player exception and tradeable pieces, the Warriors could make a solid deal to add talent to transform them from a playoff-making to a championship-contending team.

That said, let’s dive into three players the Warriors could surprisingly deal this season.
