The Golden State Warriors have room to gain on those at the top of the West, and with the trade deadline in late March, they have the assets to close the gap.

Although they’ve lost some pretty ugly games, the Golden State Warriors have shown enough that they should be considered true playoff contenders.

They’ll, at the very least, make the postseason as their schedule is projected to ease up in the near future. The Warriors played one of the most difficult schedules through the first 20 games of the season.

Golden State, on the back of Stephen Curry, has found success, but they are not quite Finals contenders. Sure, they’ll make the playoffs, but the Warriors need more and it doesn’t have to come in the form of a superstar.

The team has several needs, and in the short-term future, that’s in their frontcourt.

Over the next few months, the Warriors could use better bench scoring and potentially more depth in the frontcourt as Kevon Looney and James Wiseman may not make the best duo in the postseason.

That said, let’s dive into five trades that Golden State should consider making before the March 25 deadline.
