Back from a brief injury, Eric Paschall has hit a few bumps in the road. He’s become an integral member of the Golden State Warriors and it’s important he gets back in stride for the second half of the season.

Paschall scored 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting in the Dubs’ loss against Brooklyn. This came just two nights after he had an inefficient night versus Orlando, scoring only 2 points on limited minutes. This type of inconsistency is rare for Paschall, who likely just needs to get his rhythm back.

After missing some time with injury, Eric Paschall has to find his rhythm again with the Golden State Warriors.

Paschall hasn’t been playing heavy minutes this season. Coming off the bench behind Draymond Green, Paschall has only logged over 20 minutes six times this season. Still, he’s one of their most impactful bench players, leading all second-unit scorers with 9.8 points per game.

His bully-ball playstyle has rounded out a bit to make him somewhat of a perimeter threat as well. Paschall has hit 35.3 percent of his 3-point attempts and is capable of putting the ball on the floor and getting to the rim – making him one of the few role players on this team that can create for himself.

There are still a few things holding him back, though. Paschall isn’t a great defender and he doesn’t create plays for others at a good enough rate. Not everybody can be Draymond, but it would help if Paschall continued to polish his game.

Nevertheless, Paschall is a quality piece to this team. His scoring bursts off the bench are critical to maintaining leads with Stephen Curry off the floor. Early in the season, Paschall had a 10-game stretch where he averaged 13.5 points on 56.2 percent shooting. This is the type of production that could make him a serious Sixth Man of the Year candidate one day.

Paschall has plenty of potential and he’s flashed it throughout the season. Now, all he has to do is return to that level of play and prove it wasn’t a fluke. Once James Wiseman returns, Paschall and the rookie could create a dynamic bench unit for the Warriors to bank their future on.
