Why they should not

As we mentioned earlier, the Golden State Warriors have Klay Thompson in their organization.

While Oladipo likely would head elsewhere next season even if he was brought to the Bay Area, the Warriors would be dealing a piece of their franchise that could be a solid contributor for the next half a decade.

Assuming they wouldn’t trade any of the Big 3, the Warriors would be forced to trade Andrew Wiggins. Wiggins has been playing the best basketball of his career. He’s averaging 17.6 points and a team-high 1.4 blocks per game. He’s also shooting a career-high 47 percent from the field.

Combine what the Warriors would lose with Wiggins’ departure and the fact that they’d have to give additional picks to bring him in, and it may not make much sense.

Sadly, Wiggins would be dealt in any blockbuster deal the Dubs look into which is why the team is more than likely going to stay put through the March 25 deadline.

However, if they do opt to make a trade, Oladipo and a star such as Bradley Beal have clear upside to make this team title contenders.
