The NBA chose to split up the season into two halves in order to properly account for the multitude of games that have been postponed due to COVID protocols. While we are quickly approaching the midway break, the Golden State Warriors have some major opportunities ahead of themselves.

The Warriors hold a 14-13 record and have been battling back and forth for the eighth seed all year long. They’ve become a mid-level NBA team and are competing with the likes of Portland, San Antonio, Memphis, Denver and Dallas for a playoff berth.

There are only a few weeks left in the first half of the 2020-21 NBA season but the Golden State Warriors can’t relax now.

The margin for error in the Western Conference is minuscule. A slump at any point in the season could mean missing the playoffs entirely. This is why the Dubs have to capitalize on the upcoming stretch of games and ensure they gain an edge over their rivals.

Golden State is still dealing with some injuries. But, James Wiseman is nearing a return and Eric Paschall is beginning to hit his stride again. Although it might be a while before Kevon Looney is back, he could make an appearance before the second half of the season. Each of these players could be huge in determining how the Dubs fair towards the end of this run.

So, without further ado, let’s take a look at three upcoming pivotal games for the Golden State Warriors.
